The Steps I Followed To Provide My Pest Control Client With A Satisfactory Product

First and foremost, I needed to learn more about my client. I had only shared a few emails with the pest control company’s owner, Scott. With his permission, I gave him a call and we talked for a good thirty or forty minutes. The conversation gave me a substantial amount of insight into Scott, his business, and what I needed to do to ensure satisfaction. I knew I would need to chat with him in the future, so I told him to keep an eye on his email, before hanging up.

First Drafts

Once I had hung up the phone, I began making first drafts of Scott’s logo. I drew several pest control oriented logos. Then, I drew a few more. I continued this process for a solid hour or two, until I had three good first drafts. I was satisfied with what I had done at this point, but I needed Scott’s advice. I scanned the works and send them to his email address. Within moments, I knew which one he preferred.

Reworking It

Once I knew that Scott liked one of my draft pieces, I began reworking it and making small tweaks. I also transferred the work from paper to digital format, so I could easily add color. I made a number of alterations and ended up with several different logos with varying color schemes. Once again, I decided to reach out to Scott and get his suggestions. I sent another email and waiting it out.

Finalizing The Logo

Finally, I was well on my way. Scott was satisfied with all of the pest control logos, but he liked the blue and orange color scheme the best. At this point, it was all about delivering perfection. So, I trimmed up the loose ends and made a few minor tweaks. Once I was finished, I was even surprised with the outcome. And best of all, Scott absolutely loved it!
